Donald Ray Heady, 54, of Dawsonville died January 20, 2010 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Born September 23, 1955 in Peoria, Illinois, Mr. Heady lived in Dawson County for the past 8 years, having moved from Gainesville. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of Viet Nam and was preceded in death by his father, Vernon D. Heady, Sr., and brothers, Vernon D. Heady, Jr., Curt Alan Heady, and Dennis Eugene Heady.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Gladys and Robert Webb, Creve Coeur, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Mike Weller, East Peoria, IL.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.
