William Byrd Webster, Jr.

Obituary Date: Wednesday, January 20, 2010
William Byrd Webster, Jr., known as "Chipper" to all of us, passed away on January 20th, 2010 at the age of 58 following a brief illness. Born on June 9th, 1951 in Florence, SC and raised in Loris, SC, Chipper lived in Atlanta for most of his life.

Although his life on earth was much too short, his accomplishments were great. He was an Eagle Scout, as well as having received the "God and Country Award". He attended the University of South Carolina, Emory Dental School, then post graduate school at Emory University. He established his periodontal practice in 1982 in Marietta. As a professional, Dr. Webster's demeanor and philosophy earned confidence and respect from his patients and colleagues. As a husband, father and friend his love, values and character brought joy, laughter and acceptance to everyone who knew him.

Chipper is survived by his wife, Lee Ann; his children, Ashley Webster Arnold and William Zachary Webster; his grandchildren, Banks and Maddie Arnold; his parents, Jean and William B. Webster, Sr., and his sister Alston Coleman Monday.

A memorial service to celebrate Chipper's life will be held on Sunday, January 24th at 3:00pm at St. Columba's Episcopal Church, 939 James Burgess Road, Suwannee, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Columba's Episcopal Church.
