Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Betty Lois Byess Parks, age 78, of the Plainview Community, Pendergrass, who passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010. Mrs. Parks, born in Marble Hill, was a daughter of the late Dallas William Byess and the late Villa Taylor Byess. She worked as a farmer and was a member of Holly Springs United Methodist Church. Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Parks.
Survivors include her son, Macko Parks of Pendergrass; grandsons, Mack and Cole Parks of Pendergrass; granddaughter, Dallas Wiley of Clermont; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Caleb, and Jacob Wiley; sisters, Lucille Kirk and Ruby Wall both of Jasper.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, January 24, 2010 from the Holly Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Price officiating.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Springs United Methodist Church, 7441 Holly Springs Road, Pendergrass, GA 30567.
