Mrs. Lois Rainey, age 93, of Dawsonville passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 following an extended illness. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Rainey.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Ludivina Rainey of Cumming, Leonard and Carolyn Rainey of Dawsonville and Kenneth and Laura Rainey of Eastanollee; daughter, Sandra A. Daniel of Dawsonville; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Blackstock and Rev. Frank Whitmire officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 19th from 5:00 pm until 9:00.
