Sandra Gail Bell

Sandra Gail Bell of Gainesville died on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruth and Jessie Dangar of Alpharetta.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Datha Bell of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Deena Ruth and Charles Llewelyn, Miami, FL; brother Roddy Dangar, Gainesville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Larue and Curtis Pethel of Gainesville; and Yvonne and Jack Long of Macon. A host of other relatives, friends and co-workers fondly remember her outgoing personality, ready smile and willingness to help others.

After graduating from Truett-McConnell College, Cleveland, GA., Mrs. Bell worked in the textile industry for 45 years beginning at Gainesville Mill in Gainesville, and retiring as personnel director from Mt. Vernon Mills in Alto, GA. in 2007.

Mrs. Bell was a long-standing member of Central Baptist Church, Gainesville.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Ward's Funeral Home, Gainesville. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Earl Pirkle officiating. Internment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery, Gainesville.
