Jay Gehres, age 60, departed this life January 9, 2010. He was a former Green Beret serving our country during the Vietnam conflict. For the past six years, Jay was able to maintain that winning smile while waging his most courageous battle with health issues.
Jay is survived by Connie, his wife of 26 years of Cumming, and by his daughter, Tara and two sons, John and Jay, of California.
A memorial service will be observed Saturday, January 16, at 2:00 pm at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, officiated by Reverend Keith Oglesby.
