Mrs. Mary Estelle Brady

Mrs. Mary Estelle Brady, age 80, of Dahlonega, died Thursday, January 7, 2009 at the Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega.

Mrs. Brady was born March 28, 1929 in Barrow County, GA. She was a homemaker and member of Philippi Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

She was the son of the late John and Carrie Thomas Dean and was also preceded in death by her husband, Benton Brady; sisters, Bonnie Abernathy, Fannie Mattox, and Julie Mason; brothers, Frank Dean, Dewey Dean, and Bill Dean.

Mrs. Brady is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jackie Brady of Dahlonega, James and Sandra Brady of Dahlonega; sister, Hettie Christy of Dawsonville. 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brady are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Philippi Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. Rev. Tim Hicks and Rev. Cotton Harris will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
