Mr. Hoyt Anderson

Ivie Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Hoyt Anderson, 74, of Commerce who died on Thursday at the Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Anderson was the husband of the late Vivian H. Anderson. Survivors include two grandsons, Mark Hayes of Commerce and Michael Hayes of Danielsville; granddaughter, Kaylee Hayes of Statham; sisters, Pauline Carthern and Willie Mae Tomlin, both of Commerce, Shorty Gillreath of Madison County and Viola Alexander of Nicholson; several nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Anderson will be conducted on Sunday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Winfred Bingham and Rev. David Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6-9 PM. The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Egleston Hospital for Children in Atlanta.
