Emory Leroy Coker, Sr.

Mr. Emory Leroy Coker Sr, age 77,went home to be with his lord on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2009. He was member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and served as a Deacon and he received the Honorary Lifetime Deacon Award and was a member of the Love in Action Group. He loved to travel and loved farming and wood working and being a true servant.



He was married for 56 years and survived by his loving wife Evelyn Lawson Coker, son, Emory L. Coker Jr. and wife Ginny of Flowery Branch, daughter, Shelia Harris and husband Danny of Gainesville, Pam Reddick and husband Mitch of Flowery Branch, brothers, Lewis W. Coker and wife Peggy of Gainesville, Ga. Horace R. Coker and wife Ruth of Flowery Branch, Leonard Theo Coker and wife Wynell, Gainesville, Ga., and six very special grandchildren and three very special great grandchildren, He was preceded in death by his parents Emory and Viola Coker and sister, Barbara Sue Owens.



Funeral services will be held Monday,2:00 P.M. December 28, 2009 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating Rev. Scott Wilson, Rev. Lamar Purcell and Rev. Wilburn Peeples. Interment Memorial Park South Cemetery.
