Robert Lewis Wiley

Funeral services for, Robert Lewis Wiley, age 96 of Lula. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 17,2009 in Strickland Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Cameron will officiate. Interment will be in Clemons Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.Visitation will be Wednesday December 16,2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home. Mr. Wiley died December 14,2009 at a Gateway Nursing Home,following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Will and Nelia Wiley. Mr. Wiley was a life long resident of Hall County. He retired from the postal service after fifty years of service. He was also a teacher at Brookton elementary school for a number of years. He served in world war II and was stationed in New Guinea. Mr. Wiley enjoyed working and being around family and friends. Mr. Wiley was preceded in death by both his parents, two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Clemons Chapel Methodist Church in care of Gwyn Bell, 3925 Greenway Road Gainesville, Ga. 30507 or the American Cancer Society.Strickland Funeral Home, Clermont.
