Jack Donald Shaw

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Jack Donald Shaw, age 71, of
Athens, GA, who passed away on December 13, 2009. Mr. Shaw was born
on July 5, 1938 in Athens, GA, a son to the late Henry Newton Shaw and
the late Mae Etna Spinks Shaw. Mr. Shaw was a Carpenter and worked
with Joe Sikes Oil for 18 years. He was a member of the Edwards Chapel
Baptist Church in Athens and was in the last graduating class of the
University High School in Athens. He was preceded in death by his
Grandparents, George and Maly Shaw, Homer and Madge Spinks and
brother, Gary Michael Shaw.

Survivors include wife, Barbara Minish, Commerce, Daughter and son in
law, Jennifer and Roger Moore, Lula, Step-daughter, Lisa and Mike
Ogletree, Homer, Step-son, Scott Fincannon, Commerce; brothers, Newt
Shaw, Fayetteville, Billy Shaw, Snellville, David Shaw, Athens,
sisters and brothers in law, Jean and Bud Bryant, Sandy Cross, GA,
Janice Williamson, Athens, Sandra and Chris Colquitt, Winterville,
Melissa and Mike Carithers , Watkinsville; 5 Granchildren and 2 Great
Grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 7pm in
the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Chaplin Barry Gee, Rev. John
Parker and Mr. Joe Sikes officiating. The visitation will be held from
5-7 Friday evening, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, please donate a toy for a child through a
charitable organization this Christmas.
