Henry Horace Hewell

Mr. Henry Horace Hewell, age 85, of Commerce, GA died Friday, December 11, 2009 at BJC Medical Center. Mr. Hewell was born in Gillsville, GA to the late, Maryland and Ada Adams Hewell. He was retired from the United States Marine Corps. After his retirement Mr. Hewell worked with pottery and later in life built bird houses. In addition to his parents Mr. Hewell is preceded in death by his sons, Joel and Eric Hewell and daughter, Tracy Alexander.
Mr. Hewell is survived by his wife, Pat Kelty Hewell of Commerce; son, Kurt Hewell of Lula; daughters, Denise Jordan of Commerce and Priscilla Tatum of Dawsonville; brother, Harold Hewell of Gillsville; sister, Grace Johnson of Chattanooga, TN; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Monday, December 14 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday night from 6-8 PM.
