Mae Belle Lawson lee

Mae Belle Lawson Lee, mother of quadruplets (4) boys born Aug. 27, 1944 at Hall County Hospital. Mrs. Lee passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 following an extended illness. She was 88 yrs old and of the Baptist faith. The daughter of R.L. (Bobby) Lawson and Belle Kimsey. Mae Belle was born November 15, 1921 in Hall County, Georgia. She married Charles Edward Lee, they had one daughter and then the quadruplets. Two of the boys died the second day and the other 2 lived. The father who was in the U. S. Army Infantry at the time he was killed in Belgium, January 1945. He was a hero of WWII. She was a wonderful person who was loved and respected by all who knew her. Mae Belle is also survived by one daughter, Betty Mae Lee of Athens, sons & daughters-in-laws, Eddy & Teresa Lee of Gainesville and Bobby & Betty Lee of Murrayville, sisters, Norma Puckett of Oakwood and Mamie Abernathy of Clarkesville, 3 grandchildren, Robby Lee, Tara King and Scott Lee, 4 great-grandchildren, Tyler Lee, Mattie Whelch, Bryson Lee and John King, and a number of nieces & nephews and special friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Dean Bryant will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 11, 2009 from 6 â
