James E. Caldwell

Funeral services for James Edward Caldwell, age 70, of Clarkesville, will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at 11:00 AM from the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Dr. Bill Cashion, Rev. Furman Lewis, and Pastor Mike Franklin will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Caldwell passed away Sunday, December 6, 2009 at his residence following a period of declining health.

James was born April 11, 1939 to the late Warren and Maude Gilson Caldwell in Manchester, Georgia. Mr. Caldwell was a United States Army veteran and he was retired from L P. Service, Inc. with forty years of service. Mr. Caldwell was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher for two year olds. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Jim Caldwell, and sisters Carolyn Strickland, Sandra Cooke, and Kathy Caldwell.

Survivors include wife Carol Anderson Caldwell of Clarkesville, son and daughter in law Chuck and Pam Caldwell and children Kaleigh and Colby all of Clarkesville. Sister Patricia Styles of Manchester, sister and brother in law Barbara Jean and Eddie Blackwell of Franklin, Indiana, brother and sister in law Billy and Fay Caldwell of Woodbury, GA. Brother in law and sister in law Bobby and Becky Webb of Clarkesville, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
