William Floyd Medlin

Rev. William Floyd Medlin, age 85, of Dahlonega, GA died suddenly on November 16, 2009 at his residence.

Floyd was born in Caruthersville, MO on December 4, 1923 to the late Lee Roy & Willie Bea Medlin. He had lived in Dahlonega since 2002. He was a retired ordained Minister in the Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Katie McLain Medlin, Dahlonega, daughters and son-in-laws: Linda & Don Munn, Cumming, GA and Denise & Mike Case, Dahlonega, Ga. Son and daughter-in-law: Mark & Cheryl Medlin, Fayetteville, GA. 9 Grandchildren: 7 Great-grand children, 2 Brothers, 4 Sisters, and several other relatives also survive.

Services are scheduled for 11 AM Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton GA at 2 PM on Thursday.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.
