Pauline Underwood King

Mrs. King, 86, died November 15, 2009 surrounded by family. Survivors include sons Mark Arthur King of Boston Massachusetts, Kent Frederick King of Dublin Ohio, John Alan King of Charlotte, North Carolina, and six grandchildren: Amanda McBee and Ian, Kristen, Scott, Raleigh and Hannah King. Surviving family members include sisters Sara Florene Underwood of Atlanta, Kathleen Underwood Grogan of North Augusta, South Carolina and beloved sisters-in-law Joanne Underwood of Atlanta and Sharon Underwood of Gainesville.
Mrs. King was married to the late Arthur Poole King of Birmingham, Michigan and Gainesville. She devoted much of her life to raising three boys who all went on to college, happy marriages and a career. She gave greatly of her time to the community serving as a PTA president, a member of the Hall County Library Board and in the Volunteer Auxiliary at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for many years.
