Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Monday November 16, 2009 in Wards Funeral Home Chapel for Louella Smith Thomas, 83, Lula , Ga. Rev. Deron Crocker and Rev. Jewell Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Lula. The family will receive friends 2pm- 4pm & 6pm - 9pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Thomas was born in White County and had lived most of her life in Hall County. She was the daughter of the late James T. & Katie Mae Saxon Smith . She had formerly worked at Baldwin Garment Company for 34 years and was a homemaker. Mrs Thomas was a member of Living Mission United Methodist Church, active in the Ladies Club and had served on several committees. She loved cooking and gardening . Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by 3 brothers Grady, Clyde and Harold Smith, and a sister-in-law, Brenda Smith. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Merlin Thomas of Lula.
