Robert L. (Bob) Brogdon

Mr. Robert L. (Bob) Brogdon, age 82 of Cumming, GA passed away Friday, November 13, 2009. He was born February 15, 1927 to Robert Lee and Ruby Reid Brogdon of Suwanee. Raised in Gwinnett County, he moved to Cumming in 1948 with his wife, Camilla Secrest Brogdon. Mr. Brogdon was employed by Southern Bell for 30 ½ years. After retiring, he drove a school bus in Forsyth County for 11 years.



Mr. Brogdon served in WWII in the Navy and is a member of V.F.W. Post 9143. A Master Mason at Mt. Zion Lodge #316, Mr. Brogdon also was a charter member of the Forsyth County Jaycees and a member of the City of Cumming Fire Department for several years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Forsyth County and is preceded in death by his son, William Jerome Brogdon.



Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Camilla Brogdon; son and daughters-in-law, Lee and Lisa Brogdon of Cumming; grandchildren, Chris and Susie Brogdon of Cumming, Kevin and Ashley Brogdon of Gainesville and Melinda Brogdon of Jasper; great grandchildren, Aaron and Hailey Brogdon of Cumming and Lydia Brogdon of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bud Pugh of Suwanee.



A Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 16, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Holland and Rev. Danny Hyatt officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens with full Masonic Rights. The family will receive friends Sunday, Nov. 15th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Monday, Nov. 16th from 11:00 am until the hour of service.
