Mrs. Leonora Pendergrass, 86 of Gainesville died Monday November 9, 2009 following an extended illness at Willowwoods Nursing Center in Flowery Branch.
A native of Fayette County, Mrs. Pendergrass was the daughter of the late William Lewis and Alma Coleman Goodman. She was a former resident of Decatur, Georgia and had lived in Forsyth County for the past 38 years. Mrs. Pendergrass was a retired beautician and also was a craft instructor at the Senior Center. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Forsyth County. Mrs. Pendergrass is preceded in death by her husband, George A. Pendergrass, Sr., two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include her Daughter, Sherry Crabtree, Gainesville; Son and Daughter-in-law; Gary and Janet Pendergrass, Gainesville; Son, George A. Pendergrass, Jr., Flowery Branch; Brother, Leon Goodman, Tampa, Fla., 3 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday November 13, 2009 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. in the Whitewater Baptist Church Cemetery in Brooks, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Thursday November 12, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
