Asa Downs

Asa Downs, 34, of Oakwood died Sunday November 1, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born May 2, 1975 in Jacksonville, Florida, he had lived in Oakwood the past year having moved from Lawrenceville. Mr. Downs was employed in commercial sales with Auto Zone in Cumming and was loved by all.

Surviving are his wife, Amanda Downs, Oakwood; mother, Tongi Roden, Tuscaloosa, AL; father, Asa Floyd, Jacksonville, FL; sister, Leigh Ann West, Ball Ground; brothers, Jason Downs, Washington, GA, Barry Downs, Manning, SC; grandparents, B. J. and Evelyn Campbell, Jesup, GA; father in law, Jake Kelley, Dawsonville; step father, Ron Downs, Manning, SC.

The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday evening from 5 until 9 at the funeral home.
