Hammond A. Young

Hammond A. Young, 98, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Acworth, NH and most recently of Dawsonville, GA died on October 23, 2009. His son, Bruce, and daughter, Sally, were at his side.

He was an educator and Superintendent of Schools and he touched many lives.

Mr. Young would have been 99 in January. He is survived by three children, Barry & Jackie Young of Ellsworth, ME, Brue & Donna Young of Dawsonville, GA and Sally and Steve Barnum of Dawsonville, GA. He had eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Acworth Cemetery in Acworth, NH.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Acworth Meeting House Restoration Project, United Church of Acworth, P.O. Box 111, Acworth, NH 03601.
