Obituary Date: Friday, October 16, 2009
On Oct. 16, 2009 the Bittinger/Olsen family tragically lost Debbie Bittinger of Dahlonega, due to fatal injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Daytona, Fla.
Debbie was born in Virginia and loved living there because of her love for the ocean. A six-year resident of Lumpkin County, Debbie brought joy to all that knew her and she loved life to the fullest.
Her wishes were to be cremated and have her remains scattered across the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. This is where her father and sisters' remains were both scattered.
Debbie is survived by her mother, Priscilla Bromley of Dahlonega; and her three children, Jason Bittinger and family of Dahlonega, Sam Bittinger and family, who is currently serving in the Army in Korea; and Ashley Bittinger, age 17, of Dahlonega who will now be living with her aunt and uncle, Kim and Robert Olsen of Dahlonega, who will become her legal guardians.
