Jessie Griffeth

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of
Miss Jessie Griffeth, age 94, of Jefferson, who passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2009. Miss Griffeth, born in Jackson County, was a daughter of the late John and Emma Shields Griffeth. She was a homemaker and a member of Maxey Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her niece, Louise Moon of Jefferson, nephews John Griffeth, James Griffeth, R.L. Griffith all of Jefferson; Jester Griffeth, Duane Griffeth, and Joe Louis Griffeth all of Athens, and aunt Irene Griffeth of Athens.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, November 1, 2009 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Pattman officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson. Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Campbell, Will Campbell, Josh Campbell, Douglas Gaithright, Jake Daves, and B.J. Pattman.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 AM until 7 PM at Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, Georgia.
