Edna Sue Taylor Palmer

Funeral services for Edna Sue Taylor Palmer, age 69, of Demorest, will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville. Rev. Rick Cox and Rev. Donald Grizzle will officiate with burial to follow the service in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery.


Mrs. Palmer passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009.


Born on September 21, 1940 in Habersham County, Mrs. Palmer was the daughter of the late Gordon and Amy Patterson Taylor. She was an inspector at Scovill Fasteners, Inc. Mrs. Palmer was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church and she attended Harvest Christian Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Palmer is preceded in death by husband Elmer Palmer, daughter Michelle Palmer, and brothers Sid Taylor and Jim Taylor.


Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Carole and Ron Roberts of Cornelia, son Vernon Ernest Palmer of Clarkesville, brothers Bruce and Wayne Taylor of Demorest and Ted Taylor of Clarkesville, sister Evelyn Chitwood, as well as 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 5495 Highway 197 S. Clarkesville, on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, from 6-9 PM.
