Mrs. Eula Virginia Henderson Roberts, age 88, of Cleveland passed away Friday October 16, 2009 at her residence following a brief illness.
Mrs. Roberts was born in White County on March 11, 1921 to the late Henry and Zora Burke Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold (Happy) Roberts, son Charles Daniel and great-great grandson Joseph Dylan Jarrard.
Survivors include daughters: Barbara Black, Cleveland; Vivian Jarrard, Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law: Harold and Martha Roberts, Cleveland; Johnny and Karen Roberts, Demorest; sons; Xavier Roberts, Gainesville; Jerry Roberts, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law: Urania and Calvin Chastain, Cleveland; sister: Mary Cantrell, Buford; grandchildren: Donna Free, Tammy Black, Jamie Jarrard, Haywen Black, Denise Sullens, Anthony Roberts, Michael Jarrard, Dennis Roberts, Tonya Weaver and Kim Roberts. Mrs. Roberts is also survived by 20 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday October 19, 2009 from Blue Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Leon Carter and the Rev. Milton Harris will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions be made to Blue Creek Baptist Church or Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center in loving memory of Eula Roberts.
