Martha Corn Grogan
Obituary Date: Friday, October 16, 2009
Martha Corn Grogan, age 61, a native and life long resident of Forsyth County passed away suddenly Thursday, October 15th, 2009. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her father, Amon L.Corn, her brother, Lowell James Corn and her nephew, Alex Emory Corn.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Hazel Lamb Corn, her sons and daughter in law, Joey Amon Grogan, Chris and Carla Grogan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ben and Nate Grogan, all of Cumming. Martha is also survived by her companion pet dog, Dapples. She is also survived by uncles and aunts, Ernest and Bobbie Corn, Pierce and Kate Corn and Ed Wallace, Bernice and Lendan Ivey, special cousin and friend, Carolyn Wallace Dooley. Special friend, Phyllis Bailey and many other friends and other relatives also survive.
The Funeral Service will be held Sunday, October 18th, 2009 at 3:00 pm at the Concord Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Orr, Rev. Tommy Lamb and Dr. Lester Cooper officiating. Remains will be placed in state at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 17th from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Sunday, October 18th from noon until time of service.
