Clemon Woody

Mrs. Clemon Woody, age 89, of Cleveland, GA died October 12, 2009 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Mrs. Woody was born in Fannin County, GA March 2, 1920. She had lived in Cleveland since 1986 and was a former resident of Lumpkin County. She was a homemaker and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Dahlonega, GA.

She was the daughter of the late Lester and Ina Woody Wilson and was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pink Woody; and brothers, Britt Wilson, Worth Wilson, and Everett Wilson.

Mrs. Woody is survived by her daughter, Dianne Palmer, Cleveland, GA; grandson and wife, Rex and Amy Palmer, Cleveland, GA. Several other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Woody are scheduled for 11 AM Tuesday October 20, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Charles Jenkins will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Stockhill Cemetery in Fannin County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 PM until 8 PM.
