Cathryn Baird

Mrs. Cathryn Baird, age 89, of Social Circle, formerly of Nicholson, GA, died Tuesday October 13, 2009 at Abbey Hospice House. Mrs. Baird was born in Jackson County to the late, Warren Claude and Leona McConnell Hawks. Mrs. Baird was a homemaker and was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. Mrs. Baird was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Marvin Baird.
Mrs. Baird is survived by her daughter; Barbara Hurt of Social Circle, GA, step children; Laverne Baird, Yvonne Baird, Pat DeRobertis, and Bud Thomas, brother; Harold Hawks of Nicholson, GA, sisters; Evelyn Haynes of Danielsville, GA, Dorothy Erdman of Athens, GA, and Mildred David of Nicholson, GA, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be Saturday 2:00 PM from New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Seagraves officiating with the interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 6-8 PM.
