Victor Steven Simpson

Obituary Date: Monday, October 12, 2009
Mr. Victor (Vic) Steven Simpson, age 55, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, went home to be with God, Monday, October 12, 2009, after a 6 year courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, October 16, 2009 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park South Cemetery. The Reverend Scott Wilson will officiate and Beau Rappe, bereavement coordinator for Compassionate Hospice of North Georgia, will also officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the funeral home.

Mr. Simpson was born in Gwinnett County to the late D. B. Simpson and Maybell (Carter) Simpson. He was a 1972 graduate of South Hall High School. He attended Zion Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Simpson owned and operated Victor Simpson Construction Inc and took great pride in the quality of his work. Victor loved hunting, fishing and was an award winning Archer. His hunts included Canada, Colorado and Black Beard Island. He was a Harley Davidson Enthusiast. He enjoyed riding with his wife, Nancy and his buddies. Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his parents; and father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Hazel Liddell.

Victor Simpson is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Nancy L. Simpson; daughter, Marcy Simpson and Brady Brandwood; son, Justin Simpson and Carli; his pride and joy, grandson Talon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Vernon Jarrard; Sue and Bonny Morrow; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Laverne Simpson; nieces, Paula and Melinda; nephews, Ryan, Chris, Mark, Greg and Michael; sister-in-law, Teresa and Bill Booker and many friends also survive.

The family invites you to honor Vic by wearing camouflage and Harley Davidson attire to his service to celebrate the times you shared with him.
