Jewell Edward Norrell

Mr. Jewell Edward Norrell, age 69 Dahlonega, GA died Thursday October 8, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Norrell was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was retired from North Georgia College and State University. Jewell was a great husband, father and grandfather, and he was loved by everyone.
He was the son of the late Lewis Harold Norrell and Cindy Woody Norrell.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Reeves Norrell, Dahlonega, GA; daughters and sons in law, Linda and James Myers, Murrayville, GA,. Brenda Head and Charles Gilstrap, Murrayville, GA; son, Jewell Edward Norrell Jr., Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughters in law, David and Connie Norrell, Dawsonville, GA, Frank and Darlene Norrell, Estill Springs, Tennessee; sister, Kathleen Norrell, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sisters in law, Roy and Hazel Norrell, Dahlonega, GA, Walter and Barbara Norrell, Dahlonega, GA; very special friend, Frankie Abercrombie; Dahlonega, GA. 8 Grandchildren,11 Great Grandchildren, and a large number of other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Norrell are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday October 11, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Ernest Fortner will officiate.
Interment will follow in Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The Family will receive friends from 4 PM until 9 PM Friday and all day Saturday at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega.
