Genell Fitzgerald Kesler

Mrs. Genell Fitzgerald Kesler, age 76, of Dahlonega, GA, formerly of Nicholson, GA, died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Gold City Convalescent Center.

Mrs. Kesler was born in Stephens County, GA to the late Harrison Grover and Mary Fowler Fitzgerald. She was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church and was a retired seamstress. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kesler was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Phillip Kesler.

Mrs. Kesler is survived by daughters, Louise Martin of Dahlonega, GA, Marie Kesler of Nicholson, GA, Mary Nell Ivie of Conyers, GA; sons, Martin Kesler of Nicholson, GA, Lonnie Gaines of Conversville, TN, Gene Gaines of Hull, GA, Tommy Gaines of Caryville, TN; brothers, Leo Fitzgerald of Anderson, SC, Chaffin Fitzgerald of St. Louis, MO; two life long friends, Francis Fortson and Miriam Perry; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, October 6 at Antioch United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sanford Willard officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
