Bertie Lee Jarrell DeMore

Funeral services for Bertie Lee Jarrell DeMore, age 81, of Clarkesville will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 11:00 AM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tony Kemp will officiate with burial to follow the service in the Hillside Gardens.

Mrs. DeMore passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009, following a sudden illness.

A Habersham County native, Mrs. DeMore was born October 25, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Carlton and Bessie Nicholson Jarrell. Mrs. DeMore was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Bill DeMore of Clarkesville, sons Richard DeMore of Demorest and Bruce DeMore of Clarkesville, brothers James Jarrell and Kenneth Jarrell and sister Barbara Grant all of Clarkesville, as well as four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 5495 Highway 197 S. Clarkesville, on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 7-9 PM.
