Lucille Garrett Beck

Lucille Garrett Beck, 94, of Dahlonega passed away Monday September 28, 2009 at her home of 78 years following a brief period of declining health.

Born January 31, 1915 in Gaddistown in Union County, Georgia to the late Lewis and Dona Justus Garrett, Mrs. Beck was a homemaker and was the oldest member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lumpkin County, having joined the church in 1928. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Beck; son, Floyd Beck; sister, Marie Moore; and brothers, David Garrett, Bud Garrett, and Cecil Garrett.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Kathy and Bobby Chester, Dahlonega, Bill Beck, Dahlonega, Steve Barker, Braselton, Bruce and Alicia Barker, Franklin, TN; great grandchildren, Noah and Anlee Chester, Garrett Beck, Stephanie and Kelly Jones, Derek and Brigette Barker, Holly and Michael Neighbours, all of Dahlonega, Josh and Melodie Barker, Gainesville, Autumn Barker, Virginia, Owen and Bennett Barker, Franklin, TN; great great grandchildren, Serenity and Grant Jones, Dahlonega, Devin Barker, Dahlonega. She is also survived by three nephews, four nieces as well as a great host of cousins and friends.
