Sophia Russos Reeves

Sophia Russos Reeves, 77, fell asleep in the Lord, September 18, 2009, at home surrounded by family. She was born in St. Lucie Co, Florida, the daughter of the late Christ and Irene Russos.

Prior to her career in healthcare as an administrative professional, she owned and operated Sophia's Young Fashions. Immediately following her retirement, in 1997 from the Doctors Clinic of Vero Beach, she and her husband established Mountain Gems Jewelry. Her genuine love of people and unique jewelry caused Mountain Gems to be an instant success.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Robert A. Reeves of Cumming, GA; daughter Barbara Reeves Brown of Fort Pierce, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Judy Reeves of Cumming, GA; daughter Maria Reeves Fogarty of Lilburn, GA; Stephanie Reeves of Fort Pierce, FL; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and one brother, Milton Russos of Jacksonville, FL.

Visitation will be held at Ingram Funeral Home on Monday, September 21st from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm concluding with the traditional Greek Orthodox Trisagion service. Funeral service to commence at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 22nd at Saints Raphael, Nicholas & Irene Greek Orthodox Church in Cumming, GA with Rev. Fr. James Berends officiating. Burial to be at Sawnee View Gardens. Contributions in her memory should be made to Embracing Hospice, 8013 Majors Road, Cumming, GA 30041.
