Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Annie Maude Davis, age 96, of Cleveland. Mrs. Davis passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 at a private nursing home following a period of declining health.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 19, 2009 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dave Fortner officiating. Interment will follow in Ebernezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Gwinnett County.
Mrs. Davis was born on December 20, 1912 in Lawrenceville, Georgia to Joseph Brown and Maude Kennedy Bowen. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Davis and her son, Donald Davis.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ray & Diane Davis, Cleveland; grandchildren, Jeff & Fay Davis, Joey & Kim Davis and Josh Davis.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
