William Charles Lindsay

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. William Charles Lindsay, age 95 of Cleveland. Mr. Lindsay passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Funeral services are scheduled for11:00 AM, Friday, September 18, 2009 from the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Dick Huycke officiating. Entombment will follow in Gateway Memory Park

Mr. Lindsay was born in Pittsburgh, PA. on May 25, 1914. He served with honor in the United States Navy aboard the USS Indianapolis. He was employed with Talon in Meadville, PA. before being transferred to Talon in Cleveland where he later retired as Operations Manager. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Dave and John and sisters, Julie, LeAnna and Carrie

Survivors include his wife, Jean Lindsay, Cleveland; sons and daughters in law Kenneth & Donna Lindsay,Clarkesville; Bruce & Dana Lindsay, Buckhead

Grandchildren, Jennifer Jones, Mary Catherine Lindsay, Ford Lindsay and Jack Lindsay

Great granddaughter, Emily Jones

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM
