Zinebell Ausburn Wade, age 86, of Alto, GA, died Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Wade was born on May 8, 1923 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Grant and Daisy Mae Pressley Ausburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Pritchett, her sisters, Monteen Poole, Dora Lawrence, and Marie Mealor, and her brothers, Hubert Ausburn and Plumer Ausburn. She was the last member of her immediate family. Mrs. Wade was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend and provided a loving home to many foster children. Mrs. Wade loved to bake cakes.
Survivors include: her husband of 64 years, Odell William Wade, Alto, GA; her daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Doug Ayers, Annette and Tommy Free, and Jeanette and Johnny Wade, all of Alto, GA; her son: Douglas and Darlene Wade, Alto, GA; her grandchildren: Bradley Ayers, Donna Clark, Tonya Chitwood, Jeff Pritchett, Christopher Pritchett, Pepper Adams, Heath Free, Shannon Free, Jennifer Brock, and Roxann Bennett; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell and Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the South Chapel from 2-9 pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 and from 9 am until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
