Willie Bell Fields

Mrs. Willie Bell Fields age 94 of Cleveland passed away Monday September 14, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Fields was born in White County the daughter of the late Demus and Maggie Chastain York. She was a homemaker and member of Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl W. Thomas and Carl Fields, sisters, Marell Hicks and Ethelene Lindsay, brothers, Clifford York, Willard York and Hubert York.

Survivors include her daughters, Marie Thomas, Cleveland, Bonnie Sue Kearse, St. George, SC; son, Garland Thomas, Ellijay; sisters, Ruby Herrin, Easley, SC., Christine Cox, Kannapolis, NC.; brothers, Loy York, Cleveland, Cline York, Little Rock, AR,; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.

The family will receive friends from 2-9 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
