Timothy Scott Pitts

Timothy Scott Pitts, age 48 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2209, at Habersham County Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born in Habersham County on March 01, 1961, he was the son of +Jimmie Lou Hefner Hendrixson and the late T. Watson Pitts. Mr. Pitts was a former hotel clerk and member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Adam Hendrixson.

Surviving are brothers, Boots Pitts of Mt. Airy and Doug Pitts of Lula; sisters, Lisa Dockins and Lera Hendrixson both of Mt. Airy, Beulah Stapleton of Cornelia, Jerri Hendrixson of Morena, California and Ruth Cook of Suwanee; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Cleve Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Home Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 pm on Monday. The family is at the residence.
