Elleen Adams Tate

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Elleen Adams Tate, age 90 of Jefferson, Georgia who passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2009.

Mrs. Tate was born in White County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Linton and Sally Thurmond Adams. Mrs. Tate was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson and of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Mrs. Tate is preceded by her late husband, Paul Maynard Tate. Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Mike and Del Tate of Jefferson, Sister, Sara Baker of Cleveland, two grandsons, Michael and Storey Tate of Jefferson. Three great grandsons,Paul and Austin Tate, and Devan Williams, one great granddaughter, Ashley Collins and two great great grandchildren, Hunter and Cheyenne and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Helms officiating with burial to follow in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 14, 2009, 4-8 P.M.
