Doris Jean Norris

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Doris Jean Norris ,age 65 of Cleveland. Mrs. Norris passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2009 from the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Garry Hefner and the Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Community Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Norris was born on August 28, 1944 to the late Garland Eaton and Mattie Hester Eaton. She was employed with the White County School System as well as being a homemaker

Survivors include her husband, Paul Norris, Cleveland; son, Jody Norris, Virginia; son and daughter in law, Michael & Jessica Norris, Cleveland; sister and brother in law, Joyce & Hayward Anderson, Dahlonega; sister, Shirley Eaton, Dahlonega; brothers, Gary Eaton, Hal Eaton and Randy Eaton all of Dahlonega; brother in law & sister in law, Zane & Brenda Norris, Cleveland

Mrs. Norris is also survived by her grandson, Brennan Norris as well as a host of nieces, nephews and additional relatives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 9 PM

Flowers will be acknowledged or memorial donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Norris to the Valdosta Childrenâ
