Sue Wooten Waters

Funeral services for Sue Wooten Waters, age 70, of Clarkesville, will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at 3 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. George Wooten and Rev. Dan Eller will officiate with burial to follow the service in Stonepile Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Waters passed away September 7, 2009, at her residence, following a period of declining health.

Born on January 2, 1939 in Habersham County, Mrs. Waters was the daughter of the late Edwin L. and Minnie Smith Wooten. Mrs. Waters was a homemaker and was employed with Fieldale Farms. She was a member of Stonepile Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Waters is preceded in death by infant son Tony Lee Waters, and brothers Robert Wooten and Benny Wooten.

Survivors include her husband Elbert Eugene Waters, daughter and son in law Denise and Keith Ivester, daughters Lynn Waters and Ladonna Gudger all of Clarkesville, son David Waters of Hickman, Tennessee, sisters Betty Kennedy of Bogart, Peggy Lovell and Linda Taylor of Clarkesville, Joy McIntyre of Lawrenceville, and Judy Southerland of Mt. Airy, as well as seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 5495 Highway 197 S. Clarkesville, on Tuesday, September 8th, from 2 â
