Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Mack Kenneth Blackburn, age 72 of Sautee. Mr. Blackburn passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from Nacoochee United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Shurtz Rev. Lyndon Eubanks, Rev. Patrick Ballington and the Rev. Marvin Beasley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Blackburn was born in White County on January 7, 1937 to Hester Blackburn and Bonnie Brown Blackburn. He was self employed in the construction industry and was a long time member of Nacoochee United Methodist Church where he served as a Trustee as well as on the Administrative Board and the Cemetery Committee. He is preceded in death by his son, Corey Blackburn.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Blackburn, Sautee, sons & daughters in law, Rick & Connie Blackburn, Cleveland; Kenny & Kim Blackburn, Cleveland; brother & sister in law, Hugh & Janie Blackburn, Cleveland; sister, Euzella Blackburn, Clarkesville; Grandchildren, Shane and Wendi Blackburn, Peyton Blackburn, Indie McCoy; Great grandchildren, Jackson Blackburn, Madison Blackburn and Luke Blackburn,as well as a host of nieces, nephews and additional relatives
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 9 PM
