Geraldine Dodd King

Geraldine Dodd King, age 73 of Toccoa, passed away Friday, September 04, 2009, at the residence of her daughter following a brief illness.

Born in Habersham County, on December 04, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Jerry & Maude Roberts Dodd. Ms. King was retired seamstress with Tugaloo Boxer Co. and a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. In addition to her parents Ms. King was also preceded in death by her sister, Avis Watkins.

Survivors include daughter, Cindy Smith of Mt Airy; son, Narvin E. King of Mt Airy; grandchildren, D.J. Sosebee, Tilisha Brezeale, Tabatha Willis and Adam Smith; great grandchildren, Alicia Brezeale, Taylor Brezeale, Andrew Brezeale, Isabelle Sosebee and Evan Willis; sisters, Leona Shore of Baldwin, Willie C. Dodd of Homer, Vionia Thomas of Eatonton and Josie Lou McEntire of Eatonton; brother, Vernon Masters of Alto.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 06, 2009, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. John Umberhandt and Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt Zion UMC cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Saturday. The family is at the residence of her daughter, Cindy Smith, 269 Fieldstone Drive, Mt Airy, GA 30563.
