Mr. Van Crow Jr., age 80, of Dahlonega, GA died Friday August 28, 2009 at the Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, GA following an extended illness.
Mr. Crow was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. He was a retired farmer and small engine mechanic.
He was the son of the late William Thomas Isaac Van Doren Crow and Lottie Martin Crow and was also preceded in death by his loving devoted wife, Mamie Lois Crow, brothers, Tillman Crow, George Crow, Vernon Crow, and Leonard Crow.
Mr. Crow is survived by his son and daughter-in-law; Daniel and Kay Crow, Columbus Grove, IL; daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Robert Carmack, Waterloo, IL, Jane and Max Wallace, Berkely, WVA; brothers, Seldon Crow, Clarkesville, GA, and E.J. Crow, Dahlonega, GA; special friend, Evelyn Foster, Dahlonega, GA. 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Crow are scheduled for 1 PM Monday August 31, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.
Interment will follow in the Bethlehem-Jones Chapel Cemetery in Lumpkin County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 PM until 9 PM, all day on Sunday, and again on Monday until the time of the service.
