James Sanford Rosser

James Sanford Rosser of Cumming, GA died on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in his home surrounded by family and friends who loved him. He served eight years in the US military reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. In 1955 he became the youngest Real Estate Broker in Miami and began a career that would cover the southeastern US, representing the largest restaurant and shopping center clients in the industry.
Jim was an active member of First Redeemer Church of Cumming. He loved fishing and boating and was an accomplished guide for the many who had wonderful and productive fishing expeditions all over the coast of Florida. He was blessed with a gift for friendship. He genuinely loved people and took advantage of every opportunity to talk with them and make them his friend. He had the ability to maintain these friendships over his entire life. He particularly loved the time he spent with his beloved grandkids.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Myra; son, Keith and wife Laura; his two sons, Bill Rosser of Acworth and Robert Rosser of Miami; daughter Carolyn Dunklin of Indiana; and brother, Paul Rosser of Atlanta. He was blessed with seven grand and great-grand children and 13 nieces and nephews and their families.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Saturday, August 29th, followed by the funeral at 11:00 am at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA. Burial will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1700 Whitlock Ave SW, Marietta GA 30064.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forsyth Special Olympics, 1120 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040 or to First Redeemer Church, 2100 Peachtree Pkwy, Cumming, GA 30041.
