Eugene Thomas Erwin Brown

Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Eugene Thomas Erwin Brown, 76, of Alto who died early Thursday morning at NE GA Medical Center in Gainesville. Born in Habersham County, he was the son of the late Fred Joshua Brown and the late Olivia Rebecca Sears Brown. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Korea.

Survivors include his wife of the residence, Hazel Margaret Latty Brown; sons, Thomas Eugene Brown and Arthur Howard Brown, both of Commerce and Alex Marvin Brown of Clarksville; daughter Juanita Brown Quiroz of Alto; adopted children, Melody Denise Holcomb and John Howard Brown; sisters, Patsy Gowder of Gainesville and Commie Love of Forest Park; 30 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Eugene Brown will be conducted on Sunday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Wilson and Rev. Jim Yeoman officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at other times at the residence.
