Helen Stewart

Helen Stewart, 73, of Murrayville GA., passed away Monday, August 24, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. A Native of Welch, West Virginia she was on December 2, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Harrison W. and Lake Bailey Mahaffey. She was a devoted homemaker and mother. She was of the Baptist faith. She had lived in the Murrayville, Hall County area for the past 38 years.


In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ora Lee Stewart, Jr. and a sister, Janice Fannin.



She is survived by sons Kelly Stewart of Murrayville, Chris Stewart of Murrayville; daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Joel Peck of Murrayville, Julia and Mitchell Hewell of Clermont; grandchildren, Jason and Judith Peck, Daniel Stewart, Seth and Nathan Hewell; great grandchildren, Rachel and Rylan Peck and one niece, Karen Ennis.



Visitation will be Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Little & Davenport, 355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, GA.



Funeral services will be Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jeff Gailey and Rev. Chris Gilbert will officiate. Interment will be in Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
