Johnny Butler Sneed

Johnny Butler Sneed, 86, of Tiger, GA, passed away at his residence on Wednesday evening, August 12, 2009.

He was born in Cherokee, NC and was the son of the late Peco and Amanda Patterson Sneed.

He is survived by his wife, Lola Crunkleton Sneed, a son, Michael Sneed of Auburn, GA; two daughters, Ann Sneed of Douglas, Alaska, Cindy Sailers of Alto, GA; and five grandchildren.

He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer from the United States Navy after serving his country for over 23 years; was a Master Mason at the Virginia Beach Masonic Lodge, and was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Hollywood Baptist Church. Johnny was a loving husband, father, and a very proud grandparent.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Friday evening, August 14, 2009 from 7PM to 9 PM. Funeral services will be held in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 1 PM with Reverend Alton Dendy officiating. Burial will follow in Crunkleton Cemetery in Tiger, GA with full military honors.
