Marguerite Osborne Cothran

Mrs. Marguerite Osborne Cothran, age 81, of Toccoa, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Born April 2, 1928 in Banks County, she was a daughter of the late Grady Talmadge and Edna Estelle Poole Osborne and was the widow of William Dalton Cothran.

She was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church and was employed with Coats and Clark for 20 years. Mrs. Cothran worked at the Eastanollee Elementary School Library. She was a wonderful homemaker and was always taking good care of her family.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Shirley Cothran, of Carnesville; a granddaughter and her husband, Cindy and J. J. Collins of Eastanollee; a grandson and his wife, Kevin and Tiffany Cothran of Eastanollee; one great-grandson Ethan Collins; two great-granddaughters, Chloe Collins and Sierra Cothran; a brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Betty Osborne of Toccoa; a step great-granddaughter, Caitlin Collins; a step great-grandson, Aaron Collins.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Andrew Cruz Ashley.
